This week I had the great honor of volunteering with the MFAH to help artist Cai Guo Qiang create one of his famous gunpowder drawings. Cai always uses local volunteers to create his larger works in an effort to create a connection between fine art and everyday people. Along with around 100 other volunteers, Cai worked for five days on the drawing, allowing us a crystal clear view of his intricate process and his way of working. It was an amazing experience and the opportunity of a lifetime.

The work will be revealed to the public the 17th of October.
